Important Information
Social workers in New Jersey need to complete a total of 40 hours of continuing education every two years, including 20 hours of Clinical Practice, five hours of Ethics, three hours of Social and Cultural Competence, and one hour of Prescription Opioid Drugs; the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Renewal periods in New Jersey run two years and end on August 31 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
