Requirements
- Kentucky Social Work Ethics (Kentucky Code of Ethical Conduct) — 3 hours
- Suicide Assessment, Treatment, and Management (every 6 years)* — 6 hours
- Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse (first renewal only)* — 3 hours
- Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma (every 6 years)* — 1.5 hours
- General CE — 27 hours

Important Information
Social workers in Kentucky need to complete a total of 30 hours of continuing education every three years, three hours of which are in Kentucky Social Work Ethics (Kentucky Code of Ethical Conduct), and the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Your renewal date is tied to the date your license was issued, so it is individual to you. Periods run three years. Check your license or board account for your exact date.
