Requirements
- Ethics — 4 hours
- Health equity (per WAC 246-12-830) — 2 hours
- Suicide prevention (from Model List; required every 6 years, not every 3-year cycle)* — 6 hours
- Jurisprudence examination (one-time or after lapse; 1 hour credit)* — 1 hour
- General CE — 54 hours
* Items marked with an asterisk apply only in certain situations — for example to new licensees, specific roles, or one-time requirements. Check the official source below for which apply to you.
Important Information
Psychologists in Washington need to complete a total of 60 hours of continuing education every three years, including four hours of Ethics and two hours of Health equity (per WAC 246-12-830); the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Your renewal period runs three years and ends on your birthday. Complete all required hours before that date.
