- Ethics — 3 hours
- LTC initial (one-time, including 2 hrs VT-specific)* — 8 hours
- LTC ongoing (each renewal period) — 4 hours
- Annuity suitability (one-time as of July 5, 2024)* — 4 hours
- General CE — 17 hours

Important Information
Insurance professionals in Vermont need to complete a total of 24 hours of continuing education every two years, including three hours of Ethics and four hours of LTC ongoing (each renewal period); the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Renewal periods in Vermont run two years and end on April 1 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
