Requirements
- Ethics and/or law (including 3 hrs MFT-specific ethics/law) — 6 hours
- Suicide prevention — 2 hours
- Marriage and family therapy content — 15 hours
- General CE — 17 hours
Important Information
Family therapists in Utah need to complete a total of 40 hours of continuing education every two years, including six hours of Ethics and/or law (including 3 hrs MFT-specific ethics/law), two hours of Suicide prevention, and 15 hours of Marriage and family therapy content; the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Renewal periods in Utah run two years and end on September 30 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
