- Ethics — 6 hours
- Competency with a distinct population (of licensee's choice) — 3 hours
- Technology-assisted/telehealth services (if providing telehealth)* — 2 hours
- General CE — 21 hours

Important Information
Family therapists in Texas need to complete a total of 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including six hours of Ethics and three hours of Competency with a distinct population (of licensee's choice); the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Your renewal period runs two years and ends on your birthday. Complete all required hours before that date.
