- Accounting, auditing, or attestation (if performing such services)* — 24 hours
- Taxation (if performing tax services)* — 24 hours
- General CE — 117 hours

Important Information
CPAs in Ohio need to complete a total of 120 hours of continuing education every three years, three hours of which are in Professional standards and responsibilities (ethics), and the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Renewal periods in Ohio run three years and end on December 31 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
