Important Information

Optometrists in Michigan need to complete a total of 40 hours of continuing education every two years, including two hours of Pain and symptom management and two hours of Implicit bias training (1 hour per year of license cycle); the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.

Your renewal date is tied to the date your license was issued, so it is individual to you. Periods run two years. Check your license or board account for your exact date.
