- Implicit bias awareness training — 1 hour
- Sexual harassment prevention training — 1 hour
- Cultural competency (phased in; due within 2 renewal periods after Jan 1, 2025) — 1 hour
- General CE — 33 hours
Important Information
Dental hygienists in Illinois need to complete a total of 36 hours of continuing education every three years, including one hour of Implicit bias awareness training, one hour of Sexual harassment prevention training, and one hour of Cultural competency (phased in; due within 2 renewal periods after Jan 1, 2025); the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Renewal periods in Illinois run three years and end on September 30 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
