Requirements
- Clinical science (actual delivery of dental services) — 15 hours
- Legal ethics and professionalism — 1 hour
- Infection control (including dental unit water lines) — 2 hours
- General CE — 4 hours
Important Information
Dental hygienists in Georgia need to complete a total of 22 hours of continuing education every two years, including 15 hours of Clinical science (actual delivery of dental services), one hour of Legal ethics and professionalism, and two hours of Infection control (including dental unit water lines); the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Renewal periods in Georgia run two years and end on December 31 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
