- Students with Disabilities (ESE) — 20 hours
- Science of Reading / Dyslexia Instruction (required for Elementary, PreK-Primary, Middle Grades English, ESE, and related endorsements) — 40 hours
- General CE — 60 hours
Important Information
Teachers in Florida need to complete a total of 120 hours of continuing education every five years, including 20 hours of Students with Disabilities (ESE) and 40 hours of Science of Reading / Dyslexia Instruction (required for Elementary, PreK-Primary, Middle Grades English, ESE, and related endorsements); the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Renewal periods in Florida run five years and end on June 30 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
