- Prevention of Medical Errors (patient safety/root cause analysis) — 2 hours
- Domestic Violence (every third biennium only)* — 2 hours
- General CE — 22 hours

Important Information
Dental hygienists in Florida need to complete a total of 24 hours of continuing education every two years, two hours of which are in Prevention of Medical Errors (patient safety/root cause analysis), and the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Renewal periods in Florida run two years and end on February 28 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
