Important Information
Optometrists in California need to complete a total of 50 hours of continuing education every two years, 35 hours of which are in Ocular disease diagnosis/treatment/management (TPA/TPG/TLG certified), and the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Your renewal period runs two years and ends on the last day of your birth month — not your birthday itself. Complete all required hours before that date.
